Integrate Oracle SCM with Oracle Financials for a leading manufacturer of  Crowns corks & Plastic Closures

Challenge
The customer is a leading manufacturer of Crown Corks and Plastic Closures. The customer had implemented Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) for its Finance & Discrete manufacturing process. Customer was not able to get the desired ROI from its Oracle EBS implementation. Some of the challenges were: there was no traceability from the Finished Goods (FG) back to the original Raw Material (RM). Batch/Lot numbering was missing for both Crown Corks & Plastic closures. Two key processes - Production Planning & Quality control was in a manual state. Stock re-conciliation was in a mess for all Raw Materials (RM). Customer engaged SAINATH Solutions  to re-engineer its ERP.

Oracle EBS Re-engineering

SAINATH Solutions investigated the ERP Implementation experience of the key stakeholders from all perspectives and came to the conclusion that the process was completely I.T. driven and did not sufficiently map to the user's workflow. After holding a number of workshops with the stakeholders, we devised and implemented the Batch/Lot numbering in Oracle EBS for both Crown Corks and Plastic closures. We rectified the Cost of Goods sold (COGS) in Oracle EBS for both Crown Corks and Plastic closures. We devised the traceability from the Finished Goods (Crown Corks & Plastic Closures) back to the original Raw Material (RM).

With our experience in Technology transformation, we configured Oracle EBS to map to the customer's Production Shop Floor. We identified the discrepancies in the Bill of Material (BOM) and rectified the same. The RM stock in the ERP was reconciled to the physical count in the inventory. Thus SAINATH Solutions helped the organization to move forward with the re-engineered Oracle EBS.
